We have a new challenge for you this week and the theme is Mother's Day. I was so excited for this one as I am going to send my card up to my mum who lives about a 2 hour plane flight from me :) I decided to use Wryn Close to My Heart and I have coloured her up to look just like me hehe.
Lots of layers here...I have used some gorgeous papers from Websters and My Mind's Eye. A bunch of Wild Orchid and Prima Flowers, my signature Cheesecloth and Jute ribbon (lol!), and some pearls (I even made my own little embellishment pattern!). I have inked all of the pages using Distress Ink Frayed Burlap and have crumpled them to give an aged look.
I coloured my image using my trusty copics. Someone asked me how I got my colours so bright...it is a little bit intentional/a little bit inexperience but I just layer and layer until I reach a nice colour intensity and blended look! :) I find that it doesn't work too well on some types of cardstock though...I find that the Make It Crafty blending card (not just spruiking here - honest!) is really great for holding lots of layers and I use this all the time :)

Hair: Y00, Y21, YR23, E33
Dress: BG000, BG01, BG05, BG09
Heart/Shoes: R81, R85, R59
Wings/Shadow: W0, W1, W3, W5
