Fairy Dahlia + CANDY!
Thursday, July 19, 2012Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you one of my favourite Make it Crafty image...Fairy Dahlia. I have waited so long to colour her up and I was so excited to sit down and finally do it! She was a tonne of fun to colour…even if I did forget to put in the branch that she was meant to be sitting on! LOL! It was MEANT to be a chipboard branch…but I was watching Iron Man and got too distracted… :/ hehe!
For her wings, I used the same technique you would use when colouring folds in a dress. This helps to give a more 3D appearance. For my next store post I am hoping to have a pleats/folds tutorial for you all too 
I coloured up Fairy Dahlia using my copics. Here are the colours that I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R11
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress: R81, R85, R59
Wings: BG72, B97, B99
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress: R81, R85, R59
Wings: BG72, B97, B99
Now did you notice those AMAZING butterflies on my card? I recently found a shop on etsy called Kay's Kreative Korner. Kay sells these truly breathtakingly beautiful handmade butterflies and I couldn't resist so I brought a whole bunch! Pop over and take a look...I promise you won't be disappointed ;)
OH! One more thing...if you are looking to purchase the butterflies..I have used the small size. Just ask Kay and she can make you a set of all small for the same price if you are using them for your cards :)
