Honey: A Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a super fantastic day. I have just finished a birthday card for my friend Vanessa that I want to share with you all! Vanessa if you are here then you need to turn away!!
We get to celebrate our birthdays together this weekend - so excited. Hers is the Saturday and mine is the monday so we are catching up for some chocolatey yum.

I recently bought this amazing image from Saturated Canary called Honey, and decided to colour her up for Vanessa's birthday. I even incorporated the Saturated Canary challenge theme this week to use a doily ;) hehe

These photos didn't turn out so great...I ran out of time and took them late this afternoon and they look abit funny :( sorry! I might try and take some more tomorrow but was worried I wouldn't get them done in time for the challenge!



The papers I used were from the by My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline set. I really love the timber papers in this set! I distressed the edges of the papers by crumpling them, added a doily from Wild Orchid Crafts, a little border punch, and some pearls. I also added a little birthday inspired bunting up the top with some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts!





I coloured up Honey using copic markers. She was just so much fun to colour...love her hair and her little bunny hehe. Here are the copic colours that I used:


Skin: E50, E00, E53, E11, R11
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Clothes: (yellow) Y11, Y15, YR31 (pink) R00, R11, R20, R22
Boots: B60, BV31, C3, 00
Bunny: E21, E25, Blender (I tried to make him look a little fuzzy...looks better in real life I think!)

Thanks so much for all of your lovely comments - they mean the world to me! My blogger/computer is still playing up (I think I have a virus!) and I can only open 3 blogs at a time before it crashes for an hour or so. I am really trying to get around to all of you though! :) Have a great dat!
