Fairy Fae Makes a Wish

Hi everyone! This week's challenge over at Tiddly Inks is Sparkle it Up! I picked up this gorgeous image 'Fairy Fae Makes a Wish' from the Tiddly Inks store to colour up - isn't she just stunning? I have added sparkle to her wings and those cute little stars using Martha Stewart Bronze loose glitter powder. These don't seem to photograph as pretty as real life but you get the idea ;)

I teamed Fairy Fae with some beautiful papers from My Mind's Eye ** - this is probably one of my favourite paper pads! So versatile and the colours are so yummy and vintage. I distressed all of the papers by folding/ripping and adding Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo. I also added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some pearls from Kaisercraft.

I coloured Fairy Fae using copic markers. Here are the colours that I used:

Skin: E50, E53, E00, E11
Hair: E31, E35, E37
Dress: R11, R20, R05
Wings: R11, R20

Winter Blues - AFA DT Post

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means another challenge over at Anyone for Anya! This week we have Winter Blues: Add shades of blue to your card. It is Summer over here in Australia and very much a hot hot day, so I grabbed the cute Neva from CC Designs to get some inspiration!

I wanted a really nice vintage-look card with touches of bue, so I used some beautiful paper from Bo Bunny, and some Kraft card. I distressed the edges of the papers and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo to create an aged effect.

The blue border is from Core'dinations - I love these 6x6 paper pads! I have also used some twine, mesh lace which I picked up from the Brisbane Papercrafts Festival, and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have also embellished Neva's outfit with Kaisercraft Pearls and Martha Stewart Sterling loose glitter powder.

Here are the Copic Marker colours I used to colour up Neva:

Hair: Y21, YR31, E50
Dress: B00, B12, BG05

CC Tuesday - The Stamp Spot DT Post

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you a card I made for The Stamp Spot using the funky CC Tuesday stamp from The Greeting Farm. I love how funky punky she is! hehe

I started off with this beautiful Basic Grey DP and really wanted to base the card around this. I love the Basic Grey papers, they are all so vibrant and versatile! I teamed this with some Butter and Black cardstock as a border. The black dp is from My Mind's Eye but the print isn't showing up very well in my photograph :(

I added some black funky stitching around the border, some kaisercraft pearls, and some ribbon from my stash. The black hearts are a die cut from My Favourite Things. I stitched down the centre of the hearts with yellow thread to add a pop of colour.

To match the paper, I decided to use pink and yellow tones to colour CC. She was a lot of fun to colour and I even used my brand new Spectrum Noir pens! These are amazing...a must have if you are just starting out at colouring and the copic price tag is a little daunting. Here are the colours that I used below:

Hair: (Spectrum Noir): PP3, PP5, BP2

Dress: (copic) Y11, Y15 (Spectrum Noir) PP3, BP2

50s Sweetheart - AFA DT Post

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and you know what that means....a new challenge over at Anyone for Anya! This week we have a sketch for you to play with so pop on over and check it out! Even though I am little all Valentine-d out, I thought I would tie my sketch in with the Monday Funday Challenge over at the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog which is Red and Pink. I used the super cute 50s Sweetheart digi from The Greeting Farm for my card.

I used some gorgeous papers from the My Mind's Eye paper pads Blush and Love Me. I coloured some seam binding using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fired Brick, and tired it in a double bow.

The sentiment is from the Love collection over at Kikki K.

I coloured the image using copic markers and add some Judikens Diamon Glaze to the big heart. I love how this looks! Nice and shiny and 3d. The heart was paper pieced using some maroon paper from the Basic Grey Kissing Booth collection. I distressed this, and the papers using some Antique Linen Distress Ink.

VDay Pressie from my cutie!

Hi everyone! Happy Valentines Day! I just thought I would share with you the cute little suprise that awaited me when I got home from work today! My partner had gone through my craft stash and made me my very own card! Hehe! How good is it? I was most impressed...he has learnt a lot from my ranting every day!

That cutie in the middle is my little persian cat Lila! Isn't she gorgeous?

I am really impressed with the bow and the use of flowers on this card! hehe

Looking for a Prince + AFA DT post

Hi everyone! We have a new challenge over at Anyone for Anya this week! This week it's photo inspiration...a lovely big lacey wedding dress just in time for Valentine's Day! Don't forget to pop on over and check it out. My card for this week's challenge uses the beautiful Lilliane stamp from Sweet November - CC Designs. I didn't have any wedding stamps but I thought the dress peaking out looked like a wedding dress hehe. How cute that a princess could be walking around looking for a prince with her wedding dress already secretly on! :)

I used some lovely papers from My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found, and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon is by Martha Stewart and I have added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones and some faux-stitching using a Basic Grey stamp. The cute sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Build a Valentine set.

I coloured Lilliane using Copic Markers, and paper pieced parts of her dress. Sorry the photo isn't great - it was taken very early in the morning! I also Tim Holtz Distress Ink Antique Linen to distress all of the papers. Here are the copic colours that I used:

Hair: Y21, YR31, YR23
Dress: G000, BG34

Spring is Back - TSS DT Card

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for Valentine's Day using the gorgeous Sarah Kay 'Spring is Back' stamp. I wanted a really nice rich and vintage look for my card, so decided to colour her in sepia tones paired with shades of red. I think this works quite nice for Valentine's Day :)

The papers I used are from the My Mind's Eye 'Love Me' collection - so perfect for Valentine's Day! I have paired this with some gorgeous red and sepia toned flowers, a gold edge plate, and a doily all from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also used some beautiful lace to soften the image, and three bronze coloured Kaisercraft rhinestones.

I coloured the image using copics, and distressed all of the papers with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen.

Here are the Copic colours that I used:

Skin: E50, E53, YR00, E00

Hair: E71, E47, E29

Trousers/Hat: E50, E53, E00, E31,E43

Top/Flowers/Ribbon: R11, R22, R05, 100

*QUICK TIP - You will notice that I used Black 100 in the mix for the flowers, and the ribbon. As I don't have a huge amount of copics, I tend to make my own colours by 'mixing' the copics. In this case, I wanted a darker red, so I took the my R05 copic and rubbed the tip on the Black 100 pen to pick up some of the colour. This won't ruin your copics...you can simply rub the pen on a scrap piece of paper to lose the colour that you picked up!*
