Hi everyone! I'm here today to share my latest little colouring project using Sunny Day Wryn by Tiddlyinks, and a background by Make it Crafty. Isn't she adorable? Sunflowers are my favourites!! :D

Would you like to learn to colour like me? :) I run classes over on my website here. I'm currently finishing up the Clothing Class and I just wanted to say how well everyone is doing with the skin and hair class!! AMAZING! I'm so excited when I see people write how much they are enjoying the classes :)

Birthday Fishes + Copic Technique Workshop

Hi everyone!! I'm here to share a special little scene today... I have coloured up this gorgeous Tiddlyinks image called Birthday Fishes and merged it with a Make It Crafty Underwater Background for my November Copic Technique Workshop in Brisbane, Australia. :) We will be colouring up this whole scene going through each detail! I think the ladies might kill me... but hopefully they will learn something fun hehehe!!! :)

The background technique is modelled after a tutorial that the amazing Barbara from Forgotten Scraps shared last year. You must check her out... she is AMAZING! :) Here are the copic colours that I used:

Hi everyone! Oops I am late posting this... have been having a full on week training and I have been falling asleep in front of the TV hehehe!!! ;) Some of you have seen this posted on the Make It Crafty facebook page... and I am only now just getting it up on my own page! I know that some of you wanted the colours so I am posting them here :)

So Anyway! This is my colouring of April for the Eye Challenge over at Make it Colourful. It took sooooo long! It is about A5 size.

For my card today I have merged 4 (YES 4!!) digital stamps from the new release! From Tiddlyinks I have Jackie and Jackal, and Cat; and from Make it Crafty I have Ancient Egyptian City and Egyptian Chair.

On a little bit of a sad note...I haven't announced it here on my blog yet...But I have recently stepped down from the Make it Crafty team. A very hard decision - they are all so talented and I love all of the beautiful products!!I already miss them all so much :) But glad I get to play one last (well hopefully not last!) time!!! Hi everyone! Today I have a project to share using one of the brand new digis at Make it Crafty called Dominique. Isn’t her dress beautiful? :D I’ve made her up into a tag with lots of yummy layers - a bit different for me! But now I see my tag is on a slight lean...hehehe!

The gorgeous big butterfly is from the delicate butterflies chipboard collection and I have inked it up with blue shimmer mist. To get the bend in the butterfly’s wings, I very gently curled them forward while they were still wet from the shimmer mist spray and left it to dry.

I have used copics to colour her up and also have a speed colouring video of her up on my new youtube channel :D Here are the colours that I used:

Hi everyone! Welcome to the first Make it Crafty blog hop of the year!! YAHOO!!! And we have special news today...we are welcoming newbies! A huge big welcome to all of my new teamies...they are all amazing so please make sure you take a peek at their work. Today we are doing a blog hop to celebrate New Beginnings. For my New Beginnings card I decided to use an image that I have already coloured but to colour it differently. My resolution is to try real hard on my colouring this year and practice new techniques and improve my skills so I thought it would be fun to see how far I have come in a few months and refresh a past image.

This is the lovely lovely Ashlyn. I LOVE the portraits....fantastic to practice hair and skin :) Here are the copic colours that I used:

And here is the image I coloured up last year....I still like it but I think I have done a better job at the detail and I like her skin better now - I am layering up the colour twice to get it darker :) What do you think?

Lady Lola + Hollywood Sidewalk

Hi everyone! I have a fun project to share today! I have asked to be a Guest Designer over at Anything But A Card as I won one of their challenges :) A little while ago we were chatting in the Make it Crafty group about different shadow box shapes and Zoe created this amazing Circle Shadow Box. Naughty me - it has been sitting there for a little while so I thought it would be a good opportunity to pull it out and play!

I thought a fun way to decorate the box would be to use one of the Make it Crafty scenes to take up the interior. I used Hollywood Sidewalk and paired it with a Simply Betty image called Lady Lola; you might remember Simply Betty and Make it Crafty did a collaborative Hollywood release earlier in the year.

To create the shadow box, first I painted all of the chipboard white to give it a nice soft look, and then I traced the outer frame onto some DP. I then cut it out, distressed and painted the edges so it wasn't perfect and stuck it on top of the chipboard frame. Distressing the edges just allowed me to be a little more rough in the sizing as I didn't want it to look 100% fitted, but rather more of that shabby chic look. To be honest, I'm not 100% sold ont he red in the picture...but hey it's Hollywood right? ;)

This was a fun scene to colour up. Here are the copics that I used:

Hi everyone! Today I want to share a card I made using one of the gorgeous portraits available over at the Make it Crafty store. These are fantastic for practicing your skin or hair colouring :) I have used the gorgeous Ashlyn and have tried out something a lot of people seem to have trouble with...black hair. The secret to my black hair is that I don't actually use black at all...I use greys and just layer up the colour like you would, say, brown hair.

Mermaid Miranda

Hi everyone! Ok I have a little confession. When I first found Tiddlyinks my most favourite image was Mermaid Miranda. I just loved her and always wanted to colour her up but I was SCARED! hehe. At the moment, Tiddlyinks is doing a weekly showcase on older images so I thought it would be the perfect time to try my hand at colouring her! :D

I have had a little help....for the background, I have used a tutorial over on the Make it Crafty blog by the most talented Barbara. Man can this lady colour or what! :) Mine didn't turn out exactly like hers (I didn't have a lot of the colours either :( But I think I am quite happy with the results. I think it shows how far I have come with my colouring this year :)

I didn't make her up into a card as I thought I might frame it in a little white frame to remind myself of my crafting days! hehe. Hope you like her and I hope I have inspired you to have a peeky at some of the older Tiddlyinks images!
