The Hummingbirds

Thursday, January 16, 2014

Hi everyone! Today I am here to share my latest Live and Love Crafts project with you :) This week the DT has a theme of "Seasons", and so for mine I chose spring! I used some of the gorgeous new Pion Designs Flower Frames papers.... I looooveeee these! The image is from Sweet Pea Stamps and is called The Hummingbirds.
Don't you love that gorgeous frame around the image? I hand cut this out of one of the 12x12 sheets of paper called Anemone.
I love the cutout butterflies from the Pion Studio of Memories sheet aswell. Here I have cut one out and popped frantage on the wings... and then put one of the ink nibs over the stem.

I used copics to colour her up and used the No Lines technique aswell. Here are the markers that I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, YG91, Blender
Hair: V01, YG91, YG95, BG96, E49
Dress: YG11, G21, YG91, YG95, BG96
Flowers: V01, BV02, BV13, BV08
Hummingbirds: V000, V01, V04, V06, V09, Y35, Y38, E15, E18
Background done using watercolour paints

*This project is available on my etsy here :) *

Thank you so much for stopping by today and hope I have inspired you! :)

  13. Now I see what you mean with intense. Oh My Freckin' Gaud!!! The colouring is amazing, I know I always say that but now I mean like SERIOUSLY amazing. I love what you did with the frame as well. As I said; amazing doesn't do the image justice; it's a piece of art and it belongs in the Copic museum... or in my house. :-)Hehe; if it weren't for me being a poor store owner, I'd buy it!
