Royal
Monday, June 11, 2012Hi everyone! Have you got your entries in for this month's challenge over at The Stamp Spot? It's a fun one this month of Yellow, Grosgrain Ribbon, and Buttons. You can win an awesome prize pack so be sure to play along! :D
For my card today I have used one of the gorgeous new Some Odd Girl images; Royal; in stock at The Stamp Spot. Oooh she was so fun to colour with those pleats! I love how SOG images always have a lot of detail in the clothing...great for practicing!
I must say that I like how this card turned out :) hehe. Everything seemed to all come together quite quickly and she really was a dream to colour.
Now, colouring with the copics as usual but I have added in more depth with the skin tones by adding E21. Thanks Zoe for the advice - I like it!! I was a lucky duck this weekend and got to go to the Brisbane Papercraft Show and met up with Zoe and Debs from Make it Crafty and Karen from Crafts and Me - so much fun! And we even got to see Tim Holtz and Irina from La La Land :) ANYWAY - here are the colours that I used lol:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R11
Hair: E50, E53, E57, E49
Dress YR02, YR07, E15, E49
Oh just a quick thing that I just thought of...if anyone ever actually uses the colours that I have listed I always put them in order from when I lay them down on the page. So the first colour I do first and then work down the list. Hope that helps at all :) Sometimes I get confused when people just have a million colours listed! hehe
Challenges that I am entering with this card:
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Frosted Designs - Stitching
PaperPlay Challenges - Kraft
Just Inspirational Challenges - Photo (I used the beautiful red flowers :)
Let's Ink It Up - Favourite Embellishment and Rubber Stamp (My fave embellishment is my cheesecloth! hehe :)
Robyns Fetish - Add some Lace (I have some gorgeous Lace flowers :)
Ribbon Girl - Use Ribbon or Lace (I used some lace flowers :)
Sweet Stampin - Stitching
Make it Monday - Linky Party
